The rules of our Valentine’s Day game are very similar… The forfone team has chosen 5 pictures among the 50 couples / duo presented below.

Now it’s your turn! You will have to guess which couples we chose, but also give us the correct order! Any given couple / duo will only appear once in our selection.

How to participate?

Simply post your guess on our facebook page  by indicating the numbers corresponding to your selection. For example, if you write: 18, 39, 10, 31, 24 this means that you think Shakira and Pique are hiding in the first position, Donald and Daisy Duck in the second one, etc…

You think this is too difficult?

No worries! Every day we will give you a new precious hint that will help you find the solution until February 14^th! You will be able to play once a day by commenting under the hint of the day! The sooner you find the solution the more you can win! Of course winning combination will only be revealed at the end of the game…

What can you win?

Every day we will randomly select one winner among the correct answers of the day! The daily winners will get some free forfone credit. Be quick, because the earlier you find, the more you can win!

The Rules

It’s well known every year fitness centers get crowded right after the Christmas / New Year break, but usually this motivation does not last for long… There are many different good resolutions people decide to make just before the new year starts, but usually the most common ones are: do more exercise, quit smoking, be better organized, loose weight or take more time for the beloved ones! Good resolutions are a good thing but it is not always easy to stick to them over time… In this article we’ll give you a short overview of some really cool apps that might help you be more successful in 2013!

The app localizes you via GPS and after your sport session you’ll be able to check your route, the calories burned and much more! With Gym Pact you set your objectives (eg: how many times a week you plan to go to the gym), and set how much you are willing to pay if you fail to go! Everytime you check in to your Gym you get rewarded, you could even earn money! But wait, where does this money come from? Well It’s simple, the ones who do not respect their engagement are financing the ones who have more motivation!

On the same model you have 21 Habits The idea behind this is really simple: you choose a bad habit you wish to quit for 21 days (smoking, eat chocolate, etc.) and you pay 21$ to the website. Every day to stick to your decision you get paid 1$ back, for the days you fail the money is given to a good charity. There are many different ways to stay in touch with your beloved ones while travelling abroad. Let’s have a quick overview of the different possibilities you have.

Your carrier Plan:

This is probably the easiest solution. You simply use your mobile phone like you usually do. The only thing you have to make sure, is that your contact’s number is saved in an international way in your phonebook. Sounds nice? Well it is, except for the bill you might get when coming home. Most mobile providers charge really high roaming rates while you stay abroad, and thus, making phone calls or even sending text messages might be a crucial point in your holiday budget. This is the main reason why most of us tend to look for alternatives, or simply tries to limit the time spent on our phone. Lets have a closer look to the alternatives…

The international Calling cards:

Calling cards are often used for international calls. Even though there are two main limitations to their use. First you will be required to use a local phone (if you want to avoid roaming charges from your mobile provider) and second you have to pay a particular attention to the rates. Some calling cards offer a really good deal, advertising rates as low as “from 1 cent per minute”.  Be attentive to the fact that most of calling cards charge connection fees, weekly or even daily fees, hang up fees, etc… Which means the time you call might be twice as expensive as the price advertised.

Coin Phone Both:

Using local phone booth is a good alternative. Most of the time the prices are lower than the ones from your carrier, and if you combine them with international calling cards this might be a good way to place calls at a lower rate.

Event though phone booth get seldom in most countries, and you might not want to waste your time looking for a phone booth instead of enjoying our holiday.

A recent study by Swiftkey showed that 59% of all smartphone users consider the battery autonomy as an essential criterion in a new device’s choice. What about you? Do you think battery life is essential when buying a new smartphone?

We all remember having an old mobile device with which we could go on a 5-day holiday without having to worry about taking a mobile charger. With the era of smartphone this is nearly impossible, but there are several reasons for that:

-       The screens: Before screens used to be monochrome, simple and with reduced lightening. Now our smartphone’s screens are almost as large as the phone itself.

-       The device’s features: Internet, Bluetooth, GPS, music, apps, camera, etx. So many innovations contributing to the decrease of battery life.

-       Our consumption: We used to use our mobile phone only for placing calls and sending a few texts. Nowadays this has all changed. Furthermore, according to a recent study, each individual spends 81 minutes a day on mobile apps!

We will share with you some tips, which should help you increase your battery life:

-       Reduce the screen lightening: this can be done in your mobile settings.

-       Deactivate geo-location: many apps are constantly localizing you. We recommend to unable localization for the apps you do not use often or for the ones localization is not a key feature in your opinion.

-       Deactivate the Bluetooth when you are not using it.

-       Close unused apps: Many apps continue to consume battery when running in the background. Don’t worry, forfone will notify you of any incoming call or message even if the app is closed.

-       Deactivate Wifi : using wifi will allow you to save some data, but if it is always active then your mobile will be constantly looking for any available wifi network. Therefore we recommend that you deactivate wifi when you are not using your Internet connection..

-       Prefer ringtones to vibrate modus: Vibrate uses more battery power, it is thus recommend to set ring instead of vibrate as often as you can.

-       Reduce the screen timeout. Setting your screen timeout to 5 seconds instead of 30 seconds will allow you to save a lot of battery power!

-       Deactivate non-essential push notifications.

Forfone gives you every month 50 free calling minutes to UK landlines, if you are registered with an UK phone number. Your landline contacts are marked as “outfree” in your forfone contact list.

 3. Get free calling credit
Another possibility to earn free credit is offered to you if you are using the forfone Android app. Enter the “More” tab and click on “Free credit”. You will see a list of applications which may be of interest for you and in addition will enable you to get forfone credit. You will be credited at least 1 Cent for downloading one of the offered applications. Without much fatigue, you just need to download one of the applications and follow a few simple steps to earn Cents. After completing the steps you will be rewarded with the free credit! Very soon this offer will also be available for our users with iOS devices.

4. Promotion codes

We have already presented you the latest rumors about the new iPhone 5 release a few weeks ago . Yesterday’s keynote did not reveal many surprises compared to what had already filtered on the web.

We’ll give you a short overview of the main points revealed by the Cupertino firm in its last Keynote presentation:

The iPhone 5 : Most rumors we have already mentioned on our blog, actually revealed themselves to be correct

The new iPhone is called the iPhone 5 and now offers a larger 4 inch screen. The general design of the iPhone did not create much surprises, the main difference is that now, the entire iPhone (exterior parts) is now composed exclusively of glass and aluminum.

What about the technical features? The new iPhone is 18% thinner than his predecessor, and its new 4-inch screen will offer a 16/9 resolution of 1136×640. The 30-pin connector has been replaced by a much smaller model, which is is now called “lightning”. But don’t worry; the new iPhone will be available with an adapter, which will make the new device compatible with the old connectors.

From a camera side, what can you expect from the new iPhone? The main improvement is that now, the front camera will also provide you with a HD camera. In addition, it will now be possible to take a picture while making a movie.

Well it looks we were entirely correct with our predictions? Almost… the only point we are missing is that the new iPhone will not integer the new NFC payment system.

The iPhone 5 will be officially released on September 21th, and will be compatible with most of the new 4G LTE networks.

New iPod Nano and iPod Touch: The new iPhone was probably the most awaited announcement of yesterday’s key note, but this was not all. Philip Schiller, vice president of Marketing Apple, also presented the new iPods. The new iPod nano is 50% thinner than its predecessor and now integrates Bluetooth functions.

The new iPod Touch comes in 4-inch format as well and will integrate Siri as well as a 5-megapixel camera. Both iPods will be available in 5 trendy colors.

Earpods :  All the new devices from Apple will now be delivered with new earphones: the Earpods. These new earphones offer a way better sound quality than the ones we all know.

iOS 6 : The new iPhone 5 will directly integrate the new iOS 6, while other devices will be allowed to download this new OS starting from September 19^th. iOS 6 will be released for the iPhone 4S, 4 and 3GS as well as for the iPad2 and the new iPad.

New iTunes : iTunes 11 was announced yesterday as well. Itunes will now have a complete new interface, which should more convenient to surf through and simpler. Furthermore, iTunes will now integrate iCloud, the storage service from Apple, which will allow you to store your preferences and your listening history.

Last but not least, the new iTunes will integrate the new API from facebook, which means you will now be able to “like” your favorite songs and share them with your friends on your facebook wall. Cool huh?
